This database is not accessible. What should I do?


AU Library's article databases are provided by a number of different vendors, so there could be various reasons why a database won't open or appears to be unavailable.

As a first troubleshooting step, it's a good idea to clear your web browser's cache and cookies. You can find instructions on how to do this in AU Library's Tech Support Guide.

If clearing your cache and cookies doesn't work, please report this issue to the AU Library Information Desk by email at, or by phone at (800) 788-9041, ext. 6254.

Please provide as much information as possible, including:

  • the type of error message you are receiving;
  • the name of the database you are attempting to access (or the title, author, and / or a link to a specific item you are trying to access);
  • the type of computer or device you are using;
  • the web browser you are using;
  • the operating system you are using.
