How can I access articles in OVID?

Answer

Essentially the problem comes from EBSCO linking to OVID so your best bet is to go into the OVID database itself and search the title of the article you're looking for. Here is how to access OVID (and all the other databases): https://libguides.athabascau.ca/c.php?g=723380&p=5182963

OVID is a weird one, but if you have problems accessing another full text article, or the article you wanted is not showing up in OVID you can follow these instructions to find the full text from a citation: https://libguides.athabascau.ca/researchprocess/access

If you are still receiving an error try out these instructions:

•    Clear your cache and cookies before you start searching the Library resources, (https://libguides.athabascau.ca/c.php?g=696573&p=5017487)  then

•    Click on the link again (do not refresh the page). It will usually open on the second attempt.

•    Set your browser to "private" or "incognito" mode; please see instructions through the following link (https://libguides.athabascau.ca/c.php?g=696573&p=5043896 )

•    Try a different web browser, different platforms work better on different browsers so sometimes trying both Chrome and Firefox can be useful.

You can email the library with some of the citations you are struggling with we can take a look, here is how to grab a computer-generated citation: https://libguides.athabascau.ca/Discover/citing.
