How can I limit my search to trade publications or professional journals?

Most database will have a "source type" limiter or equivalent, in EBSCO these are the steps to limit to Trade Publication:
1) Select "All filters" from your results list
2) Scroll down to "Source Type:
3) Select "Trade Publications" (my need to select +more to see it included in the full list):
