Answer

Having issues logging into your ProQuest account, finding your EBSCO folders, resetting your Ebook Central (forermly Ebrary) password or another similar issues?

We typically don't recommend using EBSCO folders or creating accounts with any of our vendors. If you are prompted to create an account of login you are being taken to the wrong place. You will only need to login with your MyAU login to access library subscriptions, here is more info. See also institutional search.

The problems with creating personal accounts with vendors are:

1) You have to create your own account with EBSCO that is outside of the library. This means you need to go to EBSCO or another vendor for any problems you are having as it is external to us. Here are the EBSCO folder FAQs: https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/EBSCOhost-Folder-Frequently-Asked-Questions?language=en_US

3) If you don't log into your account when you enter the databases and then try to save articles or searches, tthey will just be saved in your search session that will time out when you leave your computer.

4) You will want to be searching in lots of different databases so limiting yourself to one account of making multiple personal accounts is not ideal. We recommend using a citation management software, like Zotero or Mendeley, you can learn more about these here: https://libguides.athabascau.ca/c.php?g=714940
